Who is responsible for your data
Tamas Demeter (Demeter Tamás EV) is the data controller. Based in Balatonföldvár, Hungary. Contact: hello@tamasdemeter.com
What data we collect
When you download a free guide from the Resources page, we collect:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Which guide you requested
- Whether you opted in to marketing emails
- The date and time of your consent
We do not collect payment information, IP addresses for tracking, or any data beyond what is listed above.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
We process your data for two purposes:
- To deliver the guide you requested. Legal basis: your consent, given by accepting this privacy policy before downloading.
- To send you marketing emails with tips, updates, and resources about AI and automation. Legal basis: your explicit, separate consent, given by opting in through the marketing checkbox. This is optional. You receive the guide regardless of your marketing choice.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in a private Notion database accessible only to Tamas Demeter. Notion processes data under their own privacy policy and maintains a Data Processing Agreement compliant with GDPR. Your data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
AI tools we use
Demeter Tamás EV uses AI tools to support business operations, including scheduling, communication drafting, and project delivery. The primary tool is Claude by Anthropic. We also use ElevenLabs to transcribe meeting recordings, described in “Meeting recordings and AI transcription” below.
When we use AI tools in the course of our work, limited personal data from business interactions (such as names, email addresses, and meeting details) is processed by the AI service provider for inference only. This data is:
- Not used to train AI models (training is disabled in our account settings)
- Retained by the provider for a maximum of 30 days, then deleted
- Processed on our own machine where possible; where a cloud AI is used (for example to draft notes from a meeting transcript), only the necessary text is sent to the provider named above. Meeting audio is the exception: it is sent to our transcription provider, as described in “Meeting recordings and AI transcription” below
- Never shared with additional third parties beyond the AI service provider
Legal basis: legitimate interest in operational efficiency (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). A Legitimate Interest Assessment is on file. You have the right to object to this processing at any time by contacting hello@tamasdemeter.com.
For details on how Anthropic handles data, see their privacy policy.
Meeting recordings and AI transcription
When we meet by video or phone, we sometimes record the call and generate a written transcript so we can prepare notes and focus on the conversation. We tell you before any recording starts, and you can decline. What we capture is the audio of the call and the transcript made from it.
How it is processed. The audio of the call is sent to ElevenLabs, Inc. in the United States, which produces the transcript and stores the audio on its systems. The transcript is stored on our own device. Where we use a cloud AI to help draft notes from a transcript, only the transcript text is sent to the provider named in “AI tools we use” above, under the same no-training and retention terms.
Transfers outside the EEA. ElevenLabs processes and stores the call audio in the United States. ElevenLabs acts as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of our agreement with them and incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. ElevenLabs is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Their privacy policy describes how they handle the audio.
Legal basis. Your consent, asked for at the start of the call. Where we retain notes for our records, our legitimate interest in delivering and evidencing our work (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); a Legitimate Interest Assessment is on file. You can withdraw consent or object at any time.
How long we keep it.
- The raw audio recording is deleted within 7 days of the transcript being produced.
- The transcript and notes are kept for the duration of our work together, then deleted within 12 months, unless a longer period is needed to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Ask us any time to stop recording, or to delete a recording, transcript, or notes, by emailing hello@tamasdemeter.com. Your full rights are listed below.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes described above. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@tamasdemeter.com. We respond within one month. Where a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why within the first month.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw your consent at any time (for both guide delivery and marketing)
- Object to processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Hungary: NAIH, naih.hu)
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tamasdemeter.com.
